Sheet metal processing mainly includes stamping, bending, riveting, welding, laser forming. Bordersun provides prototype manufacturing services for 1 to 100 sheet metal parts. Because of the small amount of production, there is a big difference between the prototype manufacturing technology and mass production technology of sheet metal. After the fabrication of the sheet metal sample machine, we can electroplate, spray paint, powder spray, silk print and pattern on the surface of the sample machine to achieve the desired effect.
The main advantage of sheet metal forming is short production time. According to different structures, production can be completed in 1 - 3 days. Another advantage is that the manufacturing cost is lower than the traditional sheet metal manufacturing method. Laser cutting replaces the traditional stamping material size and simple die instead of the traditional progressive die stamping die, which greatly saves the manufacturing cost.

The common materials for sheet metal processing are carbon steel sheet metal (SPCC), hot rolled steel sheet (SHCC), electrolytic plate (SECC), copper sheet metal (copper, brass, beryllium copper), aluminum sheet metal (6061, 5052, 1010, 1060, 6063, alloy aluminum, etc.), stainless steel sheet metal (various types). Generally speaking, material selection should consider manufacturing costs and product usage.

Sheet metal materials
1. Cold-rolled sheet metal (SPCC) is mainly used for electroplating and spraying paint parts. It has low cost and is easy to form. The material thickness is less than 6 mm.
2. Hot-rolled sheet (SHCC) is also mainly used for electroplating and spraying paint parts. It has low cost, but its forming is difficult. So it is mainly used for plate parts, whose material thickness is less than 6 mm.
3. Galvanized sheet (SECC) is usually 0.4-3.2 mm thick.
4. Copper is mainly used for conductive components. Its surface can be plated with nickel,chromium or without surface treatment. But it costs a lot.
5. The cost of aluminium sheet is also very high. The surface of aluminium sheet can be chromate, anodic oxidation (conductive anodic oxidation, chemical anodic oxidation), silver plating and nickel plating.
6. Aluminum extrusion material is a kind of material with complex cross-section. Mainly used in various plug-in boxes. Its surface treatment is the same as that of aluminium sheet.
7. No surface treatment is required on the surface of stainless steel. Its surface can be divided into mirror surface, brush surface and matte surface.
