CNC Machining ABS prototype
Good impact resistance, high strength, stable structure, dampproof, machinability, all of these make ABS can meet the demand of various prototype. CNC machining ABS prototype needs polish and the surface treatment. Because of the different hardness of plastics, the time and difficulty of polish differ. The polish of ABS is much easier, while the polish of PC, PA66 and POM are harder.
For big-sized CNC machining ABS prototype, it has to be splitted into several smaller pieces. Then joint them with special glue. It will be solid and sturdy, and the overall strength of the prototype will not be impaired. ABS is very suitable for splitted manufacturing. In recent years, it is mainly used for the prototype of the case of electronics, electric appliance, automobile, mechanical equipment, and apparatus. The tolerance of prototype is between ±0.1mm. If customers have special requirement, the 2D drawing needs to be sent to us, in the format of PDF, DWG or DXF.
Similar with plastic, ABS can be divided into fireproof and non-fireproof. It is widely used in prototype. Besides, CNC machining ABS prototype is suitable for surface treatment, like coloring, vacuum electroplating, water electroplating, thermal transferring, and water transferring.
